This policy explains what information Techish collects through this website and our services, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Techish is a brand of Techish Technology and Digital Literacy Coaching LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Techish Technology and Digital Literacy Coaching LLC is managed by its parent company, Davis Family Technology Holdings LLC.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Service and booking requests: your name, phone number, email, preferred contact method, who the request is for, the service you are interested in, your device, availability and a description of what you need.
Library account: your email address and name, plus the items you save, favorite, view and group into collections.
Payments: if you pay online, payment details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout page. We receive confirmation of the payment, not your full card number.
Messages: anything you send us by email, text or phone.

Please do not send passwords, verification codes, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or other sensitive information through our forms or messages.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers process technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested so the site can be delivered and protected. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Basic usage events (for example, which service card was opened) stay in your browser and are not sent to an analytics provider.

During a session

When we help you with a device or account, we may see information on your screen. We ask permission before touching a device or account, ask you to enter your own passwords and codes, and do not copy or keep your personal files or credentials.

2. How we use information

To respond to requests, recommend a service, schedule sessions and provide support.
To run your library account and sync your saved items across devices.
To process payments and keep business and tax records.
To send messages about your request or session. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.
To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and meet legal obligations.

The Tech Helper on this site uses simple rules in your browser. What you type there is not sent to an AI service or stored.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run Techish, under their own privacy and security commitments:

Supabase: stores service requests and library accounts and sends sign-in links.
Resend: delivers email notifications about requests.
Stripe: processes online payments.
Our website host and network providers: deliver and protect the site.
Image and video providers: thumbnails load from Pexels and YouTube, which receive standard connection information when they load. Library videos and articles open on the publisher’s own site, under that site’s privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use your browser’s storage only for features you use: your accessibility settings (text size, contrast, motion), staying signed in to the library, and small preferences such as whether you dismissed a suggestion panel. Clearing your browser data removes them. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. Children and students

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Sessions with students under 18 require a parent or guardian to make the request and give consent. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. How long we keep information

We keep request and session records for as long as needed to provide support and follow up, and then as required for business, tax or legal purposes. Library data stays with your account until you ask us to delete it.

7. How we protect information

We use access controls, encrypted connections, row-level security for library data and server-side protections for staff tools. No method is perfectly secure, so we limit what we collect in the first place.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We honor these requests for everyone, and we will not treat you differently for making one. To make a request, email us from the address you used with us. We may need to confirm your identity first.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date, and we will tell you directly about significant changes that affect how we use information you already gave us.
