Link & QR Checker
Got a text, email or QR code with a link? Check where it really goes before you tap. We never open the link, and nothing you paste or scan leaves this device.
For a QR code, take a photo of it or choose a screenshot. You can also paste a screenshot into the box.
Reading a link like a pro
- The website is the part just before the first single “/”. In usps.com.track-id.top/pay, it’s track-id.top, not USPS.
- A company name at the front or in the middle proves nothing. Scammers can put any name there.
- Short links (like bit.ly) and QR codes hide the address. Check them here first.
- Safest habit: don’t tap links in messages you didn’t expect. Open the company’s app or type its address yourself.
- Report scam texts by forwarding them to 7726 (SPAM), then delete them.
Read A QR code is a link you can’t read and A suspicious text?, or practice in the Scam Simulator.
